예술의전당은 오랜 시간 사랑받아온 전통 가곡부터 가곡이 조금 낯선 이들을 위한 현대가곡까지, <함께 부르는 가곡>의 이름으로 우리 가곡의 새 얼굴을 소개한다. cd는 총 두장으로 이루어져 있으며, Part.1의 <그리운 금강산>, <보리밭>, <임이 오시는지> 등 우리나라를 대표하는 고전 가곡은 현대적인 해석으로 편곡되어 더욱 친근하고 편안하게 감상할 수 있도록 재탄생하다. 

고전가곡에 이어 <마중>, <첫사랑>, <시간에 기대어> 등으로 이루어진 Part.2는 실력파 뮤지컬 배우 민영기, 신영숙, 김소향, 에녹의 목소리와 누구나 편하게 들을 수 있도록 완성된 오케스트라 편곡으로 이루어져 있다.
